Influential chef, author, and culinary globetrotter, Anthony Bourdain, died by an apparent suicide on Friday, June 8 at the age of 61. The global culinary community is grieving the loss of the original bad boy chef, host of Parts Unknown, and author of groundbreaking book, Kitchen Confidential, among others. His unique approach to food-driven storytelling made the world a smaller place and his insatiable appetite for everything from balut to Italian beef kept food lovers at rapt attention for years.
Anthony Bourdain sampled and tweeted about Johnnie's Beef in Elmwood Park in 2012.
The Oak Park Eats family extends our deepest sympathies to Anthony Bourdain's family, friends, and co-workers during this difficult time.
